When searching for a suitable cleaning process and medium, the rule "like dissolves like" still applies. For inorganic contaminants such as emulsions, salts, and polishing compounds, water-based technologies are therefore used. The removal of particulate residues such as chips, loose burrs, and abrasion is also considered to be the domain of aqueous parts cleaning. Organic contaminants such as oils and greases, on the other hand, are largely treated with hydrocarbon and CHC-based systems. Especially in the area of degreasing, however, there are applications for which increasingly precise aqueous cleaning processes are ideal. In response to the growing demands of the trend towards miniaturization in industry, MAFAC has developed a new generation of machines for aqueous cleaning of precision parts. Thanks to new kinematic process technology, small components are cleaned efficiently and with high quality. The new process is available as standard in a compact machine that can be individually configured according to customer needs.
